Not really on the drawing board anymore as it's practically complete!
New two-storey residential dwelling comprising timber frame construction. Solid Structures were responsible for foundation design - which required some clever thinking to bridge over the sink holes in the chalk ground without the use of expensive piled foundations.
The geometry of the building also posed another challenge - the building being curved on plan. The final design was a series of RC ground (spreader) beams forming a kind of spider web around the central protected tree.
