Hook Norton Brewery

LOCATION: Hook Norton, Oxfordshire
Date: 2010 - 2016

We’re involved in ongoing conservation work to the Grade II listed buildings on the brewery site.  Projects have included repairs to the Copper House roof, Sack Hoist Tower, front and rear chimneys and the Visitors Centre.

The repairs to the roof of the Copper House were particularly complex and challenging. Over 100 years of steam from the open-top copper vessel had led to the deterioration of the timber roof structure. Around 50 per cent of the roof was repaired while maintaining the brewing operation below. The roof was also carefully jacked back into its original position.
