Location: A Manor house, warwickshire
Architect: banks design
PROJECT VALUE: undisclosed
DATE: december 2017 - present
Solid Structures have been involved in a major refurbishment of this 17th Century Grade II listed manor house. From the outset, we were involved in a number of site visits and continuous dialogue with both the architect and conservation officer to develop sensitive engineering solutions.
Work included repairing stone windows, repair of cracking to external stone walls, removal of modern repairs including steel ties visible within rooms, and extensive repair of roof timbers. We worked closely to appoint specialist contractors for the masonry crack repairs and worked alongside the steel fabricator to finalise discreet steel strengthening to timbers.
