Rugby School Estates Offices
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
client: Rugby School
Architect: tsh architects
PROJECT VALUE: £1.5M
DATE: August 2016 - 2018
Rugby School Estates Department embarked on an ambitious self-build program to create offices and workshops for the Estates Department on site. The development comprises of two timber clad buildings separated by an access road and parking spaces.
The Estates Office building is a rectangular steel frame structure. It is clad in Scottish Larch, in two different finishes. The defining element of this building is the feature wall facing the playing fields which is deeply splayed and clad in a contrasting timber finish. A full height, full width brise soleil adds interest to this facade whilst providing shading to the large glazed open plan office.
Rugby School Estates Department delivered this project as a self-build.
