Location: Stoke Bruerne, Northamptonshire
Architect: William Green Architects
PROJECT VALUE: CONFIDENTIAL
The project at Grade II listed Stokegap House incorporates an internal redesign to refocus the flow of the current living space. Additionally, a stunning extension to this Georgian style house has been been designed to house a new swimming pool.
The new extension has been designed as a contemporary steel structure with two elegant tied frames each aligning with the hip apex. The ties are designed as tension tie rods with a central disc offset up from the horizontal. The steelwork also frames a central glass roof light with a clear unsupported ridge.
